How do I contact customer service?

You can contact us by email at elyscandle.contact@gmail.com. We will respond within 24 to 48 hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, excluding weekends and public holidays. You can also send a request directly via our contact form .

Orders

What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay for your order by making your payment online by credit card : CB, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, via the Paypal platform or through Apple Pay.

However, we do not accept payments by bank transfer or check.

Shopify Payments complies with the PCI data security standard and supports 3D Secure payments.
Payments made on the website https://elyscandle.fr are therefore secure .

What are the order processing times?

Each order is carefully prepared by hand in our workshop in the south of France.
We strive to process your orders as quickly as possible. This timeframe is generally 1 to 4 business days , excluding weekends and public holidays.

Please note that this timeframe may vary depending on exceptional circumstances or during the end-of-year period. If this is the case, we will notify you on our website's homepage and inform you via our social media channels.

Can I track my order?

Of course! Once your order is validated, you will receive an email with your order confirmation . This will contain your order number as well as a summary of the items you have selected.
Once we have prepared your package and handed it over to the carrier you have chosen, you will receive an email containing a link to track it to your home!

It's possible that the status on the carrier's website won't be updated even a few hours after you receive your email. Don't worry! It will be updated automatically.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

For any order modification or cancellation, you can write to us at the email address: elyscandle.contact@gmail.com or directly on our contact form .

Please provide your order number and your request (cancellation/modification). We will be happy to assist you and guide you through the process if your order has not yet been shipped.

If the order was sent before you contacted us, we will no longer be able to modify or cancel it.

What should I do if I haven't received the order confirmation email?

Once your order is validated, an order confirmation with a summary will be sent to the email address you provided. If you haven't received it within 15 minutes, please check your spam folder , as it may have ended up there.

If after a few hours you still haven't received your order confirmation, please contact us by email: elyscandle.contact@gmail.com or via the contact form.

I received a defective and/or damaged product, what should I do?

If any of the items in your order were delivered defective or damaged during shipping, please contact us at elyscandle.contact@gmail.com or via our contact form . We will respond as soon as possible to offer you a solution.

Delivery & Returns

Which countries do you deliver to?

For the moment, we only deliver within the European Union . But if you are interested from abroad, please don't hesitate to contact us !

How long will it take to receive my order?

Delivery times vary depending on the carrier and destination:

In France :

  • For Colissimo , allow 2 to 4 working days after dispatch.
  • For Mondial Relay , allow 3 to 5 working days after dispatch.


In Europe (excluding France):

  • Shipments are made via Colissimo , with an estimated delivery time of 3 to 7 working days depending on the country.


Please note that shipping costs vary depending on the final weight of your package. No markup is added; you
only pay for shipping!

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking link.

I haven't received my tracking link, what should I do?

If you don't receive your shipping confirmation email, remember to check your spam or junk mail folder . It's not uncommon for this type of email to end up there.

If you are unable to find this email, please write to us at elyscandle.contact@gmail.com with your order number . We will reply as soon as possible with your tracking number if your package has left our workshop.

How can I benefit from free delivery?

As a small, artisanal business, we have many expenses to cover in order to offer you quality creations. While we can't offer free shipping on all orders, we've decided to offer free shipping on orders over €80 to thank you for your support and maintain a viable business model.

Why use a scented candle?

Lighting a scented candle is much more than just perfuming a room… It’s about creating an atmosphere, relaxing, evoking a memory or simply softening a moment in everyday life.
At Ely's Candle , each fragrance is designed as an emotion: floral, soothing, comforting or sunny, to make each flame a little moment for oneself.
Our candles are lovingly hand-poured and carefully decorated. We also use crackling wooden wicks , which add that unique sensory touch, like the sound of a fireplace.

What are our candles made of?

Each of our candles and wax melts is handmade in our workshop in the south of France using rapeseed or soy wax for a clean and natural burn. This wax is sourced from our French suppliers and is guaranteed CMR-free*, GMO-free, phthalate-free, vegan, and cruelty-free.

The perfumes we use are exclusively made in France.
The wicks of our candles are made of lead-free cotton or natural wood from sustainable sources.
Everything is designed to offer a gentle, responsible, and respectful fragrance experience for your home.

What is the difference between a "scented candle" and a "scented wax melt"?

Both delicately perfume your home, but their uses are different:

- The scented candle is self-sufficient: it diffuses its fragrance by burning gently, and creates a warm atmosphere thanks to its flame.
The scented wax melt , on the other hand, is used without a wick, in a wax warmer . It melts under the heat of a tea light candle, releasing its fragrance more intensely and quickly. It's an ideal solution if you like to change scents regularly or adapt the ambiance to your mood. Once the wax melt has cooled, it can be easily removed to try another one.

Can I light my candle in the presence of my pets?

Ely's Candle scented candles and wax melts are formulated with fragrances made in France (in Grasse) , without phthalates , without CMR substances and without essential oils , making them gentler on the indoor environment.

That said, animals, especially cats, birds, and small sensitive animals, can react differently to smells.

As a precaution, we recommend that you always use candles in a well-ventilated room and out of their reach , and never leave them lit unattended.

Are scented candles dangerous during pregnancy?

Our scented candles and wax melts are made with fragrances manufactured in France , without phthalates and without CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic) .

They do not contain essential oils , which are often discouraged during pregnancy.

Their use is therefore safe. As a precaution, I still recommend that you ventilate the room well after use and not stay too long in a closed room with a lit candle.

The wooden wick of my candle keeps going out on its own, is that normal?

Wooden wicks are often appreciated for the warm and comforting ambiance they create when burning. However, they require careful attention to burn properly.

Since wood is a living material , it's not uncommon for your wick to go out on its own after lighting it. Don't panic, this is perfectly normal. You need to keep trying and continue lighting it . We recommend holding the flame of your lighter or match for a few seconds to ensure that the entire surface of the wick is properly lit.
It is advisable to trim the wick to 3 or 5 mm from the surface of the wax to allow it to burn properly.

What should I do with my candle jar after I've finished the candle?

You've just finished your candle and you don't know what to do with the container?
At Ely's Candle we have chosen glass candle containers with a wooden lid to allow you to give them a second life.

Step 1 : Remove the base of the wick using a fork or a pointed object.

Step 2 : If there is still wax at the bottom of your jar, boil some water and pour it into the container halfway up.
The remaining wax will rise to the surface, and once your water has cooled, a "plate" of cold wax will form on the surface. You can then easily remove it.

If there is no wax left at all, you can wash your jar under a stream of hot water with a little dish soap.
And that's it! You can then assign it its second role , whether it's a spice jar, a pencil holder, new storage in the bathroom... The choice is yours!

Our scented melts

What is a scented wax melt?

A scented wax melt is a small piece of wax , without a wick, designed to be heated in a burner with a tea light candle.
Under the effect of heat, the wax melts and gradually releases its fragrance throughout the room.
Unlike a candle, the wax does not burn : only the fragrance evaporates over time, allowing you to fully enjoy its delicate scents.

How to use a scented wax melt?

1. Using the small spoon provided in your mini scented wax melts, place a few pearls in the dish of your burner.
2. Place it in the top dish of your oil burner (do not add water).
3. Light an unscented tea light candle underneath.
The beads will melt delicately, revealing their sparkling glitter and releasing their fragrance. Once the fragrance has dissipated, allow the wax to cool completely before removing it.

How long does a scented wax melt diffuse its fragrance?

Our mini scented wax melts offer an average of 80 hours of diffusion per 100 grams (1 whole jar).
This feature may vary depending on the size of your burner or the size of your room.

How do you know when to change your fondant?

Generally, scented wax melts don't burn completely . They release their fragrance gradually but don't shrink. The best time to change your wax melt is as soon as you can no longer smell its fragrance while it's melted. You can then wait until it's completely cool before removing it and adding another spoonful of your favorite glitter pearls or changing the scent.

What type of burner should I use with your scented wax melts?

Our sparkling beads are compatible with all wax melt burners , whether they use tea lights or electric ones.
Caution, do not use with ultrasonic diffusers containing water.
The pearls need heat in order to melt and release their fragrance.

Are your fondant cakes dangerous for children and animals?
