Halloween is the perfect opportunity to spend time with family while stimulating children's creativity. With a few simple and safe ideas, you can transform your home into a mysterious and cozy haven , filled with autumnal scents. Ely's Candle candles add the finishing touch to create an atmosphere that is both festive and elegant.

Here are 5 original DIY ideas , easy to make even with the youngest children:

🎃 1. Pumpkin lanterns made from recycled jars

Materials: glass yogurt jars, orange paint, black felt-tip pen, tea light candles.

Realization :

  1. Clean the glass jars and dry them.
  2. Paint the outside of the jars orange.
  3. Draw pumpkin faces with the black marker (Turn the jar upside down with the opening at the bottom for this step).
  4. Place a tea light candle inside.

Safety: Children can participate in painting and decorating, but lighting the candles must be done by an adult.

👻 2. DIY Stiff Cotton Gauze Ghosts

Materials: White cotton gauze (or thin compress), white liquid glue (like school glue), balloons or polystyrene balls (to form the head), plastic cups or bottles (to serve as a base), googly eyes or cut-out black paper, optional: glitter paint or silver spray for a chic effect Realization :

  1. Slightly inflate a balloon (or use a polystyrene ball) to form the ghost's head. Place it on a cup or small bottle: this will serve as a base for the gauze.
  2. Pour some liquid glue into a small bowl and dilute it slightly with water (about 2 parts glue to 1 part water).
  3. Soak the cotton gauze in it until it is thoroughly saturated.
  4. Gently spread the soaked gauze over the balloon. Let it fall naturally to create folds. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours so that the gauze becomes stiff.
  5. Once dry, pop the balloon (if used) and remove it. Glue on googly eyes or cut out oval shapes from black paper. Add a string if you want to hang it.
